“I was concerned about the people and frontline medics in Wuhan as the epidemic occurred here and pay tribute to the heroic healthcare workers.” Said the French Ambassador Laurent BILI as he visited Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University on Oct. 28th.

On behalf of the hospital, President Wang Xinghuan warmly welcomed Ambassador BILI’s visit. He reviewed 40 years history of Zhongnan-French friendship and indicated that Zhongnan Hospital had witnessed rapid development and remarkable achievements in these years which were closely related to our French counterparts. During the hardest time, French government donated three batches of medical supplies to Zhongnan. Our hospital sent supplies in turn afterwards. He pointed out that as covid-19 is human is common enemy, we will definitely defeat it as long as we stand together with solidarity.

Professor Zhao Yan, Vice President introduced the hospital including history, professionals cultivation, scientific influence, key specialties and hard work on fighting against covid-19. On this occasion, the participants of the meeting connected online with Professor Jacques HUBERT, the academician of French Academy of Medicine as well as Professor Gilbert FAURE, Lorraine University of France. Two professors introduced ongoing programs jointly conducted by two sides. Medics and student representatives from China-French medical class delivered speeches demonstrated what they’ve learned and gained from their experience as a bilingual professional of medicine.
